Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Alexei Yerkhov held meetings with the Governor and Mayor of Antalya Munir Karaloglu and Muhittin Böcek. According to the Russian diplomatic mission, the parties discussed issues related to the safety of Russian tourists in Turkish resorts, as well as the problems of interregional cooperation.
Earlier, the Russian Ambassador to Turkey called the current tourist season "very difficult in terms of the number of incidents with Russian tourists."
According to the Russian diplomatic mission, since the beginning of the season 88 Russians died in Turkey.
The main causes of deaths are health problems, alcohol abuse and inattention on the roads.
