Russian and Azerbaijani Prime Ministers stressed importance of efforts to restore Karabakh

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Head of  Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers Ali Asadov stressed the importance of joint efforts to restore Nagorno-Karabakh in a telephone conversation, the Russian government's press service reported on Tuesday.


"Mikhail Mishustin and Ali Asadov stressed the importance of joint efforts for the post-conflict restoration and economic development of Nagorno-Karabakh," the statement following the talks reads.

 

The heads of governments discussed topical issues of Russian-Azerbaijani trade and economic cooperation, paying special attention to the implementation of joint projects in the energy, industrial, transport and other fields. "The parties also considered measures to counteract coronavirus infection, including the use of the latest drugs and vaccines," the Cabinet of Ministers added.


Mishustin and Asadov also wished each other a Happy New Year.
