Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov had a meeting with Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Russia Abdel Hafiz Nofal at his request.
During the conversation, the diplomats discussed the problems of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement, as well as issues of inter-Palestinian reconciliation in the context of recent contacts with representatives of HAMAS and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
"The Russian officials emphasized the need for an early restoring of Palestinian national unity in the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organisation and the Arab peace initiative", - the message reads.
