In the framework of the International Energy Week Moscow hosted the meeting of Minister of Energy of Russia Alexander Novak and Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz bin Salman. According to the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the heads of ministries discussed cooperation between the two countries, including stabilization of the world oil market, as well as preparations for the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, Novak stressed that Russia appreciates the existing dialogue with Saudi Arabia and is confident in the need to continue it "both through international cooperation, including stabilizing the world oil market, and in the direction of mutual development of the energy sectors of Russia and Saudi Arabia."
The exact date of Vladimir Putin's visit to Saudi Arabia has not been announced yet, however, according to preliminary data, it will be in mid-October.
