Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Sierra Leone Foreign Minister David Francis congratulated each other on Tuesday on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"On January 18, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey V. Lavrov and Sierra Leone's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation D.J. Francis exchanged congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries," the Russian MFA said in a statement.
The parties highly appreciated the dynamics of the development of Russia-Sierra-Leone relations and deepening of political dialogue.
The ministers emphasized mutual willingness to continue joint work for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian, educational and other fields in the interest of the two countries. The two sides also stated their intention to further coordinate their positions in the international arena, the Russian MFA added.
