The joint exercises of the Russian and Syrian Navies have completed in the Mediterranean Sea. According to the head of the exercises, Rear Admiral Alexander Yuldashev, all the goals of the training were achieved.
During maneuvers, according to him, the training participants applied non-standard ways and tactical receptions, including measures for the deception of the opponent.
According to the legend of the exercises, "terrorists" used a poisonous substance on the territory of the basing point. The military indicated the substance, informed the troops about the chemical contamination and marked the boundaries of the contaminated area. A unit of the Syrian army conducted a degassing of the place.
The training, which began on December 16, involved Russian surface ships, aircraft from the Khmeimim airbase, as well as missile boats and minesweepers of the Syrian Navy.
