Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Russia Riad Haddad.
As reported on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the conversation included a detailed exchange of views on the situation in Syria and around it.
At the same time, special attention was paid to restoring the socio-economic infrastructure of the country and creating conditions for the return of Syrian refugees and internally displaced persons to their places of permanent residence.
The parties also discussed the issues of further strengthening of the Russian-Syrian multifaceted cooperation.
