The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov held telephone talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The parties, according to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the presidents of the two countries Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which is to be held in Moscow on March 5 or 6.
In addition, the heads of the Russian and Turkish diplomatic missions spoke about taking measures to create a favorable atmosphere that contributes to the effectiveness of the dialogue on the implementation of agreements in support of the Syrian settlement and on other issues on the agenda of Russian-Turkish relations.
