According to the commander of the 1st tank army of the Western military district, Lieutenant-General Sergey Kisel, the T-90M is a fundamentally new machine that received a new tower and a more powerful engine.
In addition, the tanks are equipped with a new multi-channel sight, which allows using weapons at any time of the day.
One of the main features of the upgraded T-90M was the ability to exchange data with other machines in real-time.
Alexey Podberezkin, Director of the Center for Military and Political Research at MGIMO, doctor of historical sciences, said in an interview for Sputnik radio that the T-90M is recognized as the best modern tank, which surpasses all others, and its modernization will continue in the coming years.
