"On May 19, trilateral and separate bilateral meetings of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia will be held in Moscow," she said. - "Bilateral Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations on a peace treaty will be held separately."
The diplomat said that the sides will discuss prospects for normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia "taking into account the dynamic situation in the region." "There will be a substantive discussion of implementing the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, October 31 last 2022, which are the basis for this trilateral process, including unblocking transport and economic relations, delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, preparation of a peace treaty between the countries, as well as contacts through public, experts and parliamentarians," she added.
Zakharova also informed that during the separate meetings of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with his Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts, "an exchange of views on the most topical issues of the bilateral and international agenda" is planned. "We expect that the upcoming contacts will promote Baku and Yerevan in resolving controversial issues, finding mutually acceptable solutions and in general increasing confidence between the parties, as well as strengthening and stability in the South Caucasus," the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry concluded.
