Russian clothing manufacturer Putin Team is gearing up for international expansion, with plans to open stores in China, India and the UAE by the end of 2024. Dmitry Shishkin, the brand's founder, revealed this expansion strategy during the Army-2023 forum, according to information provided to TASS.
"In just under two years, we have established over 20 Putin Team stores across various regions of Russia, spanning from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. By the end of 2024, we aim to inaugurate 33 new stores featuring our brand's products in Russian cities with significant populations. Our next stride, by the end of 2024, will encompass the inauguration of our stores in China, India and the UAE. The brand is venturing onto the international stage. Looking ahead, we have plans to expand into the markets of Southeast Asia and the Middle East," shared Shishkin.
According to him, foreign countries' representatives are showing considerable interest in the brand's products. "Among countries friendly to Russia, the interest and demand for Putin Team products often surpass even that within Russia. We engage in online trading, and at times, representatives from foreign nations purchase our products more frequently than Russians do. The brand boasts a prominent name, and the Russian president ranks among the most esteemed global leaders in Asia and the Middle East. We are confident that there will be substantial demand for our products," Shishkin remarked.
During the Army-2023 forum, the company showcased sophisticated products designed for everyday use. "Our primary focus is on functional, sporty, urban casual attire with a military touch. At Army-2023, we unveiled sports tracksuits, vests, jackets, windbreakers, bombers, and anoraks crafted from waterproof and wind-resistant fabrics. These pieces feature an ergonomic design, ensuring comfort in various conditions," the founder of Putin Team elucidated.
Shishkin also revealed that the company is presently involved in crafting special patriotic collections for participants in the special operation. "We are manufacturing particular items and several special collections for individuals in Donbass. These are essentially patriotic merchandise aimed at supporting these individuals. We are discussing everyday wear like T-shirts, polo shirts, caps, waterproof attire, and more," he added.
The international military-technical forum "Army-2023" is being held from August 14 to 20 at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center, as well as the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield. Around 1,500 leading Russian defense industry enterprises are participating in the exposition and business program. Additionally, 85 foreign companies and organizations from 7 countries are anticipated to partake in the forum. The event is organized by the Russian ministry of defense, with TASS serving as a strategic media partner.
