Russian Ded Moroz will go to Syria on December 24, where he will congratulate Syrian children until December 30, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, the head of the Russian National Defense Management Center (NDMC), said during a meeting of Russian and Syrian interagency coordination headquarters, which was held via video link.
"As part of the humanitarian campaign "Russian Ded Moroz's New Year's journey to Syrian children," from December 24 to 30, there will be humanitarian actions to hand over New Year's kits to children in the cities of Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor, Deraa, Qamishli, Latakia, Tartus, Hama and Sweida," said Mizintsev.
He added that Ded Moroz will distribute more than 23 thousand New Year presents and 200 Christmas trees with toys to children in Syria.
Also, the Russian delegation will send warm clothes and shoes for orphanages and monasteries. In addition, Syrian children will receive computers, TV sets, textbooks, stationery sets, furniture "and many more things that are so necessary to ensure the educational process in Syrian schools," the head of the NDMC added. Mizintsev added that earlier, Russian Ded Moroz had already distributed New Year presents to the children of the Syrian military who had been killed in the fight against terrorists.
The general also said that various cultural and educational programs are planned for Syrian children in 2022, and most Russian regions have already expressed their willingness to host children from all provinces of Syria.
"Our children should be friends and support each other, in the future it will multiply and strengthen friendly ties between the Syrian and Russian peoples," Mizintsev explained.
