A government delegation from Russia arrived in Damascus on Sunday on an official visit to participate in the talks, RIA Novosti reported, citing the state TV channel Syria TV.
"The delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov arrived at the international airport of Damascus," the TV channel reports.
The parties intend to discuss the development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various fields, the message reads.
Ikhbariya TV channel added that the delegation also includes Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and official representative of the Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
