The international interreligious conference for peace and solidarity, organized by the Muslim World League, has started in Paris.
The conference is attended by representatives of the Russian Mufti Council (RMC) and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBM RF), as well as religious and public figures, experts and representatives of scientific and academic circles from a number of countries.
The participants of the event will focus on such issues as the development and expansion of interreligious dialogue, improving the effectiveness of state-confessional relations and contacts, as well as the exchange of practical experience between representatives of faiths and religions in strengthening the foundations, values and traditions of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
On the sidelines of the conference Rushan Abbyasov, First Deputy Chairman of the RMC and RBM RF held a meeting with Muhammad Al-Issa, Secretary General of the World Muslim League.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, development and strengthening of ties and contacts.
