A Russian delegation will discuss with representatives of Azerbaijan the production in that country of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V against coronavirus, as well as clinical trials of the combination of Sputnik V with the AstraZeneca vaccine, said R-Pharma founder and chairman of the board of directors Alexey Repik.
"The program will be developed not only in Russia, but it will also be launched in a number of countries: now we are flying just to the Republic of Azerbaijan to discuss the clinical trial project, the Middle East countries, other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States may be involved," Repik said on air of the TV channel "Russia 24".
Commenting on the purpose of the trip to Azerbaijan, he pointed out: "First of all, of course, it is clinical studies of the new combination (with the vaccine AstraZeneca - ed.), as well as the possibility of using the specialized facilities, the pharmaceutical facilities of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the production of the vaccine "Sputnik".
