Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin met with Iraqi Ambassador to Russia Haidar al-Azari to discuss counter-terrorism efforts and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The meeting took place on July 17, 2024, in Moscow. Colonel General Fomin and Ambassador al-Azari addressed key issues of bilateral cooperation in defense and counter-terrorism, also sharing perspectives on resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The ministry reported that the discussions were conducted in a friendly atmosphere, reaffirming the commitment to furthering Russian-Iraqi cooperation in these areas.
