Russian Special Representative of the President for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Algerian Ambassador to Moscow Smail Benamara held discussions regarding the enhancement of the comprehensive and friendly relations between their nations, in accordance with the Declaration of Deepening Strategic Partnership, the Russian MFA reported.
"During the conversation, both sides reaffirmed the mutual desire of Moscow and Algeria to continue the progressive development of their longstanding and amicable relations. They emphasized their commitment to the principles outlined in the Declaration of Deepening Strategic Partnership, which was signed in Moscow on June 15 of this year," the report reads.
Furthermore, the ministry highlighted that the meeting between the parties also focused on the importance of sustaining an active and constructive political dialogue on international and regional matters of shared interest.
The occasion for the meeting was to mark the conclusion of the mission of the Algerian ambassador to the Russian Federation.
