Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Algerian Ambassador Discuss Middle East and North Africa Conflicts

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin and Algerian Ambassador to Moscow Boumediene Gennad discussed the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Sahara-Sahel region, a message from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reads.

 

"During their conversation, the parties addressed a number of conflicts on the UN Security Council's agenda in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Sahara-Sahel region, including the issue of the Western Sahara settlement," the ministry noted.

 

The participants expressed their commitment to fostering closer cooperation within the UN, considering their alignment on key aspects of contemporary international relations.

 

The meeting was initiated by the Algerian side.
