On Tuesday, Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed with Saudi Ambassador to Moscow Abdulrahman bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad the tasks for further development of bilateral relations in the context of the last meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries.
"During the conversation the sides discussed topical issues of further development of Russian-Saudi traditionally friendly relations in the context of the talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries, Sergey Lavrov and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, held in Moscow on March 9," the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.
According to the ministry, the sides also discussed Middle East issues with emphasis on the current situation in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and the Persian Gulf.
