Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Syrian Ambassador Discuss Regional Destabilization Threats

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin engaged in discussions with Syrian Ambassador to Moscow Bashar Jaafari concerning the threats of destabilization in the Arab Republic amid the ongoing escalation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, as communicated by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

The ministry highlighted that the current situation in the Middle East region, particularly the escalating tensions in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and the associated risks of destabilization in Syria, were thoroughly deliberated upon.

 

Additionally, both sides extensively addressed the pressing issues of collaboration and coordination between Russia and Syria across major international platforms in New York, Geneva, and The Hague. The diplomatic ministry underscored the significance of continuing and enhancing joint efforts within the framework of the Group of Friends in defense of the UN Charter.
