Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, has discussed with representatives of Hamas the situation in the Palestinian territories, the events around Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and the task of achieving Palestinian national unity. He said this to TASS on Thursday.
‘It is such a turbulent situation right now in the Palestinian territories, in the Gaza Strip, where Hamas is largely in control. And the events around the Al-Aqsa mosque in East Jerusalem – all this is also worrying. These are the issues on which we have shared our assessments, our considerations. And regarding the main task – to achieve Palestinian national unity,’ he said.
