Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Nigerian Ambassador Abdullahi Shehu discussed problems of evacuating Nigerian citizens from Ukraine at a meeting on Friday.
"During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of further development of Russian-Nigerian relations. There was also an exchange of views on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the problems of evacuating Nigerian citizens staying on its territory," the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement.
The meeting was held at the request of the Nigerian side.
