Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Discusses Gaza Situation with Arab League Representative

Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov has held discussions with Walid Hamed Shiltag, the appointed representative of the Arab League in Moscow, regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, as well as developments in Syria, Libya, and Sudan.

 

During the conversation, Bogdanov and Shiltag delved into key issues concerning the enhancement of cooperation between Russia and the League. The significant role of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum in strengthening multifaceted ties with Middle Eastern and North African states was also highlighted. The exchange of views primarily focused on the current regional agenda, emphasizing the situation in Gaza, Syria, Libya, and Sudan.

 

Additionally, Shiltag presented Bogdanov with an accreditation letter signed by Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, addressed to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
