Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia's Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, met with UAE Ambassador to Moscow, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaber, to discuss bilateral contacts and the situation in the Middle East amid the ongoing armed conflict in Gaza and along the Israeli-Lebanese border, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“During the meeting, both sides discussed key priorities for strengthening the multifaceted relations between Russia and the UAE, including the schedule of upcoming bilateral engagements,” the ministry reported. “In exchanging views on Middle Eastern issues of mutual interest, they emphasized the urgent need for an end to the armed confrontations in Gaza and along the Israeli-Lebanese border.”
The meeting was held at the request of the UAE diplomat.
