Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met in Tashkent to discuss regional security and cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan within the CIS, EAEU, SCO, UN, and other organizations, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
The foreign ministry noted that the discussions aimed to further advance Russia-Uzbekistan relations, including deepening political dialogue, expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and the economic sphere, and building up cultural, educational, and humanitarian exchanges. The exchange of views was held under the sign of mutual aspiration to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan in accordance with the agreements of the leaders of the two states.
Additionally, Galuzin held consultations with Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Bobur Usmanov in accordance with the program of cooperation between the foreign ministries for 2024-2025.
