Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, met with Egyptian Ambassador to Moscow Nazih Nagari to discuss developments in Syria, emphasizing the need to preserve the country's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
"The discussion focused on events in Syria, with both parties underscoring the importance of maintaining the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of this Arab nation. The situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, as well as in Sudan and Libya, was also addressed," the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
Additionally, the two sides explored practical aspects of Russian-Egyptian cooperation.
The meeting was initiated by the Egyptian ambassador.
