Nouakchott hosted the inauguration of President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.
This event was attended by Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov.
At the end of the inauguration ceremony, the diplomat was received by the Mauritanian leader and met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and cooperation of Mauritania, Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed.
As reported on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the talks, the parties confirmed the mutual approach of Russia and Mauritania to maintain an active political dialogue on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.
