Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin met with Turkey’s Ambassador to Moscow, Tanju Bilgiç, to discuss the situation in the Black Sea, focusing on Russian-Turkish cooperation on maritime security. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The parties exchanged views on key international and regional issues of mutual interest. Special attention was given to the Ukrainian crisis, particularly ongoing efforts to resolve it by addressing its root causes," the ministry stated. "In this context, the current situation in the Black Sea was reviewed, taking into account Russian-Turkish initiatives on maritime security."

The Russian side also emphasized the importance of fully implementing the Russia-UN Memorandum on normalizing Russian agricultural exports. This includes restoring banking transactions, resolving insurance and transport logistics issues, unblocking frozen assets, and resuming the supply of spare parts and equipment.
