The Russian Federation's embassy in Kyrgyzstan affirms its unwavering support for initiatives promoting the economic and infrastructural advancement of the country. Russian Ambassador to Bishkek Nikolai Udovichenko  told in an interview with the Kyrgyz news agency AKIpress.

"Russia actively endorses the decisions of the Eurasian Development Bank and the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, which are actively involved in the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan, particularly in the field of hydropower," stated Udovichenko. Notable projects include the construction of the Kulanak HPP, the modernization of the Kambar-Ata HPP-2, the building of the Aral-Suusamyr highway, and the expansion of the water network in Osh Oblast.

Udovichenko highlighted the increased activity of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF), which provides preferential lending to promising economic projects in the republic. "Over the year, the volume of RKDF financing of projects has grown 2.5 times and now amounts to $150 million. In October, a Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference resulted in the signing of project documents for $3.5 billion," he noted.

The ambassador underscored the growing trend of mutual settlements between the two nations in their national currencies, emphasizing the establishment of stable channels for credit and banking cooperation. "I have always been convinced that the economic component should maximize our cooperation. Today we have intensified work on diversification of foreign trade ties, emphasizing the implementation of large investment projects, as well as the expansion of industrial cooperation," stressed Udovichenko.
