The Russian embassy in Chad has not received any information about Russians among the victims of the clashes in Chad.

"There have been no appeals from Russian citizens for help or protection. The diplomatic mission has not received any information about Russian casualties," the Russian embassy in Chad told TASS on Friday.

They also reported that "apart from restrictions on movement in the city, the embassy continues to work as usual."

The diplomatic mission pointed out that despite the ban on demonstrations, on October 20, a riot broke out in Chad, and in order to avoid further confrontation the authorities decided to impose a curfew from 18:00 to 06:00 in the cities of N'Djamena, Moundou, Doba and Koumra. The embassy added that "the activities of the opposition political parties, which are recognized as the main instigators of the disturbances, have been suspended."

Chadian Prime Minister Saleh Kebzabo said that about fifty people had been killed and more than 300 injured as a result of the clashes.
