Russia and Iraq will expand security cooperation, Russian Ambassador to Baghdad Elbrus Kutrashev said in an interview with Izvestia.
"We plan to expand our presence and, accordingly, invest additional funds in areas related to security, finance. There are spheres of agriculture, industry, water, energy - there are good prospects here too," Kutrashev stated.
The diplomat emphasized that the current state of relations between Russia and Iraq is at a notably high level. Beyond the positive statistics of cooperation, he underscored, "The main thing is the high level of trust and interest in mutual work."
