Representatives of the Western countries have once again shown a destructive approach to everything that could clarify the circumstances of what is happening around them, the far-fetched Syrian «chemical dossier». This is stated in the commentary published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia about the report of the special mission of the OPCW following the investigation of the chlorine incident on April 7th, 2018 in the Syrian city of Duma.
It is reported that the Western countries once again blocked the proposal of Russia and a number of other states to hold a briefing at the OPCW with all without exception experts of the OPCW Mission to establish the fact of the use of chemical weapons in Syria, involved in conducting a resonant chemical incident that lasted for almost a year.
«It is of utmost concern that all this is already becoming natural for the OPCW and is happening with the explicit connivance of the management of the Technical Secretariat of the Organization, which, apparently, is not fully aware of the fact that this highly technical and once very authoritative international structure becomes an instrument of geopolitics for the realization of the interests of a narrow group of states in the Middle East and other regions of the world», the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
We recall that it was allegedly the use of chemical weapons by government forces in the Syrian Duma was the reason for the United States, Britain and France to launch a missile attack on Syrian research facilities.
