Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and his Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen.
The meeting was in Geneva, where the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) and the Conference on Disarmament will be held today.
The main topic of the talks, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry, was the situation in Syria.
"The parties had a meaningful exchange of views on most topical issues regarding the international agenda, including the developments in Syria. They considered the interaction between Russia and the UN Secretariat. Special attention was paid to the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII and the foundation of the United Nations," the message reads.
