Russian Foreign Ministry Calls for Developing Contacts with Tatarstan

Konstantin Kolpakov, Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry, highlighted the importance of foreign states developing ties with Tatarstan, emphasizing the region's economic and investment potential. His remarks were made during the Forum of Young Diplomats of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held alongside the "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum."

 

"In Russia, we are implementing the concept of horizontal diplomacy, which originated at our forums and involves creating informal platforms for communication among foreign policy officials from around the world," - Kolpakov stated. - "Primarily, we are talking here about  countries friendly with Russia. The biggest result of such work has been the creation of the International Association of Young Diplomats, which has been functioning since 2022."

 

He encouraged foreign states to explore opportunities for engagement with the Republic of Tatarstan, emphasizing the region's potential for investment and the acquisition of new specializations. "We call on everyone to develop contacts with the Republic of Tatarstan, as there is really a lot here to both invest in and acquire new specializations," Kolpakov noted.

 

Kolpakov underscored Russia's significant attention to international youth cooperation, reflecting the country's commitment to fostering relationships with young diplomats from around the world.

 

The forum saw expressions of interest from foreign diplomats in developing ties with Tatarstan.
