Russian Foreign Ministry Consular Department Head and Bahraini Ambassador Discuss Visa Facilitation

The Head of the Consular Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexei Klimov, and Bahrain's Ambassador to Russia, Ahmed Al-Saati, have held talks regarding the potential simplification of the visa process between their respective countries. This information was conveyed via the Telegram channel of the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

"Their conversation revolved around various aspects of bilateral consular cooperation, with a particular focus on the potential streamlining of visa procedures between our nations," the message stated.

 

Previously, Nikita Kondratyev, Head of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects at the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, mentioned that Russia is nearing the abolition of visas with Bahrain, along with countries such as Malaysia, Myanmar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Kondratyev highlighted that several agreements with these countries have reached an advanced stage of development and have been submitted to foreign partners. The signing of these agreements is anticipated to occur in 2024.
