Imams from five regions of Russia (Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Moscow oblast, Perm krai, Republic of Bashkortostan) are taking advanced training courses in the Turkish city of Bursa. According to the press service of the RMC, the courses are organized annually by the Department of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey in the framework of a signed Memorandum of cooperation with the Russian Muftis Council.

The main focus of the training is on such subjects as the basis of Islamic knowledge, the Arabic language and tajweed.

In addition, the duties of the Imam and muezzin and their responsibilities to the believers are thought separately.

The RMC noted that joint educational programs with the Department of Religious Affairs of Turkey are held annually.
