On January 12-13, 2020, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will pay a working visit to Uzbekistan, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said.
"The Minister will be received by the President of Uzbekistan. There will be negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this state, " she said, in particular.
During the meetings, the entire range of bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation will be discussed.
"Special attention will be paid to the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the Russian President to Uzbekistan on October 18, 2018, as well as to the preparation of events scheduled for 2020 at the highest and high levels," the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
It is also planned to sign a program of cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2020-2021.
"This interaction is a reflection of the trust level of strategic partnership and alliance existing between Russia and Uzbekistan," the diplomat said.
