The Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia made a statement concerning the terrorist act in Tunisia.
Two suicide bombers killed a patrol officer and injured several people, mostly officers from security forces. According to preliminary reports, there are no Russian citizens among the victims. Nobody has yet claimed responsibility for this criminal act. The authorities are handling the investigation.
"We express our sympathy to the family of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We strongly condemn this extremist act and reaffirm our support and solidarity to friendly Tunisia, ready for strengthening coordination actions against terrorism in all its forms", noted in the statement.
