The aggravation of the situation in northeastern Syria will not interfere with the work of a small group of the Constitutional Committee, which starts its work today in Geneva, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said.
"I hope that nothing will interfere with the work of the Committee. The Committee should work constructively, and we hope that this work will continue, despite the attempts of certain forces to create some problems," the diplomat was quoted as saying by TASS.
The first round of meetings of the Constitutional Committee of Syria has started in Geneva on October 30.
