Russian MFA condemned the attack in Somalia, more than 90 people were killed

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia published a comment in connection with the terrorist attack that was committed this morning in the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu. The victims of the attack are more than 90 people, including 17 Somali police officers and 4 foreigners.


"We strongly condemn this barbaric terrorist act, the victims of which were civilians. It is obvious that this next bloody outing of extremists is aimed at destabilizing the situation in Somalia. We offer our condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased, and wish a speedy recovery to those injured", the message reads.


Russia, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, will continue to support the efforts of the Federal government of Somalia to achieve national reconciliation and prepare for parliamentary and presidential elections in 2020-2021.
