Moscow condemns the terrorist attack committed in Kabul on October 24 that resulted in death of more than 20 people and injury of more than 50, the comment of the Russian Foreign Ministry reads.
"The Islamic State" group (ISIS - banned in Russia) claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing. We strongly condemn the attack, which took the lives of civilians, mainly young people - schoolchildren and students," the ministry said.
Smolenskaya Square stressed that ISIS still remains a factor of destabilization in Afghanistan, "sowing inter-confessional discord and undermining efforts to establish peace in the country". "We call on the Afghan authorities to take exhaustive measures to combat hotbeds of terrorism and ensure the security of peaceful Afghan citizens," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
The explosion near the training center in the Afghan capital killed at least 29 people and injured 72, TOLONews reported earlier.
