Today, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Russian Federation Abdel Hafiz Nofal.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the situation in the Middle East, with an emphasis on the restoration of Palestinian national unity in the context of Russian efforts to promote the process of inter-Palestinian reconciliation as an essential condition for establishing constructive Palestinian-Israeli negotiations on a well-known international legal basis.
A number of topical issues of traditionally friendly bilateral relations were also touched upon.
