Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov met with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia Mehdi Sanaei, who is completing his mission in Moscow.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the diplomats discussed topical issues of the international and bilateral agenda.
Kazem Jalali was appointed the new Ambassador of Iran to Russia, who earlier this week met the President of the Islamic Republic Hassan Rouhani.
Mehdi Sanaei served as Iran's Ambassador to Russia since 2013.
