Russian MFA: Russia in talks with African countries after grain deal suspension

Russia is in contact with the leadership of many African countries after Moscow's participation in the grain deal was suspended, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters on Monday.  

 

"Of course, we are in contact with the leadership of many countries, particularly, African countries, that require assistance with food and fertilizer deliveries," he said.  

 

The deputy minister added that Russia will continue to support African countries after the deal suspension.  

 

"I think so. They, of course, understand everything perfectly," the deputy minister said when asked by TASS whether African partners are understanding of Moscow's suspension in the grain deal. - "They have information and contacts, and our embassy is very active. African ambassadors come here in Moscow all the time, and we regularly tell them everything. " 

 

"Of course, [we will continue our support]," Bogdanov added, answering a related question.
