Russian MFA: Russian partnership with Turkey is strategic

The head of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described the Russian-Turkish relations as a strategic partnership, the diplomat said last Tuesday at a reception on the Republic Day of Turkey.


"Today, Russia and Turkey are strategic partners," Lavrov said. "Of course, we cooperate on Syria."


According to the Minister, Ankara and Moscow fight terrorism in Syria together, support stability in the Black sea region, work to ensure that the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) to become a structure for real cooperation.
