Saudi Arabia has consistently taken a balanced position on the situation in Ukraine and has repeatedly offered its services in the organization of negotiations. Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said this on Thursday at the third meeting of the "Khakimov Club" at the Russian Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Academy.

"The Saudi leadership has consistently taken a balanced position on the situation in Ukraine and has repeatedly offered its services in organizing negotiations," he said.

As Bogdanov noted, over the past few years, Saudi Arabia has become Russia's strategic partner in the Middle East. "A significant factor is the participation of our countries as the main producers of hydrocarbons in the world within the OPEC+ format, which has been successfully balancing the global economy for six years," he added. - "We have good prospects in the industry, energy, agriculture and other sectors."

The diplomat stressed that the relations between the two countries are built "on the basis of non-interference in domestic affairs, mutual benefit and intention to build together with other friendly countries a new type of international relations, free of diktat and imposition of alien socio-economic models."
