Russian MFA to hold a meeting on security in the Persian Gulf

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to convene an expert conference on the concept of security in the Persian Gulf, developed by Moscow, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters.

 

 


According to preliminary information, the meeting will be held in September at the  Institute of Oriental studies of RAS. This was discussed at the meeting with the scientific director of the Institute, the member of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia – Islamic world" Vitaly Naumkin.

 

 


"It may be possible to gather the first expert meeting of all parties concerned to discuss our concept and at this level to see what are the opportunities for its promotion, considering the views of all stakeholders. We have agreed on it and will invite", RIA Novosti quotes the diplomat.
