Moscow welcomes the extension of the humanitarian pause between Palestine and Israel and hopes for the ongoing dialogue between the parties, stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova during a briefing.
"Welcoming the decision of the parties to extend the humanitarian pause, we anticipate the continuation of effective dialogue between them in the interest of further de-escalation of the situation and giving it a long-term and sustainable character," the diplomat said.
Zakharova added that Russia continues its efforts to alleviate the humanitarian situation in Gaza, which remains extremely difficult. "On November 21, 23, and 25, the Russian Emergencies Ministry planes delivered consistent shipments of food and medicine from our country to Egypt for Palestinians. In total, over 300 tons of humanitarian aid for the enclave's population have been sent since the beginning of the crisis," she pointed out.
