10 August 2021

Russian Armed Forces military police officers continue to conduct patrols in Northern Syria in Aleppo province. This was reported to journalists by military police spokesman Maxim Bulatov.

‘Russian military police conduct daily patrols in the group’s area of responsibility. The goal of patrols is to demonstrate the presence of Russian troops’, Bulatov said. He also added that the presence of Russian forces prevented members of terrorist groups from carrying out ‘various provocations’ against civilians.

Convoys of Russian military equipment are moving through the key towns in the province, while also entering small settlements. The Syrian government forces also ensure order in the province.

Earlier, the province of Aleppo in the north of the country was the scene of fierce clashes between the Syrian government army and militants. The province was liberated from terrorist groups with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
