Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak plans to visit Saudi Arabia before an official visit to the Kingdom of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This was announced during the Eastern economic forum, which is taking place these days in Vladivostok. As the Russian Minister himself noted, the purpose of the visit is to "check the clock" with Saudi colleagues before Vladimir Putin's visit. It is scheduled for October this year.
Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary for the Russian President, also said that the Russian side attaches great importance to building partnership relations with the official Riyadh. In addition, Moscow will soon issue a special statement about Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to the Kingdom.
